French Braid Instructions
The following steps will take you through the process of a French Braid using Hare Do.
Dampen Hair
Mist the hair with water, apply more to the ends.
Comb the hair smooth.
Extend the Hare Do lengthwise and slide the excess fabric (equally) to both ends forming rosettes.
Form a Small Ponytail
Form a small ponytail on the crown of the head and hold it with the left hand.
Wrap Hare Do
Don't Let Go!
Under the ponytail fold the Hare Do in half holding its center and the ponytail (as one) with the right fingers.
Your other hand holds the rosette ends above the head.
Tips:
Adjust the rosette ends (equally) finding the center of the Hare Do under the ponytail.
Pinch the Center
The right fingers pinch the Hare Do's center and the ponytail (as one) as you release the rosette ends falling down and wrapping around the ponytail.
Tips:
Don't Let Go!
If you do, the Hare Do will slide down the ponytail.
Switch your Hands
Switch Your Hands!
The left fingers pinch the Hare Do tight around the ponytail, as the other hand pulls and stretches the rosette ends downward to straighten them.
Pinch the Hare Do real tight around the ponytail to lock it in place.

(Let Go) of the Hare Do and ponytail!
Part Section of Hair
At the right side, the right fingers part a small section of hair (stopping) beside the Hare Do.
Don't Let Go!
Both hands finger comb the hair smooth and finish with the right hand holding the hair.
Part Section of Hair
At the left side, the left fingers part a small section of hair (stopping) beside the Hare Do.
Don't Let Go!
The hands finger comb each of the two sections of hair smooth and finish holding them in each hand.
Cross Hair
Cross the right section of hair underneath the left section on top of the Hare Do.
Don't Let Go!
Pull the crossed hair tight to the head and hold the hair with the left forefingers and thumb.
Cross Hare Do Strand
Grasp the right Hare Do strand and cross it over the left section of hair placing it in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Don't Let Go!
After you cross, the right fingers and thumb grasp the left section of hair and Hare Do strand (as one) holding them tight against the head.
Amazing!
(Let Go) of the hair with the left hand!
Cross Hare Do Strand
Grasp the left Hare Do strand and cross it over the top of the right section of hair and right Hare Do strand.
Place the crossing left strand in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Don't Let Go!
Both hands together pull the hair sections down, as the Hare Do is pinch toward the head tightening the braid.
Pinch Center
The right fingers keep holding the Hare Do and left section hair, as the left fingers pinch the Hare Do center around the ponytail.
Pinch the Center
The left hand regrips, as both hands pull and pinch the Hare Do and sections of hair inward setting the hairstyle in place.
Important:
Pull on the ponytail under the braid if there is a small bubble on the top of the head.
Let Go!
Release the two sections of hair laying them on top of the Hare Do.
Tips:
These two ponytails will be added to each new section of hair.
Amazing!
Let go of the braided hair!
Fingers, wrists and shoulders are free to relax which you can never do with a normal French Braid.
Part a Second Section
At the right side, the right fingers part another small section of hair (stopping) beside the Hare Do.
Don't Let Go!
Both hands finger comb the hair smooth and finish with the right hand holding the hair.
Add Previous Section of Hair
Add the right ponytail, lying on top of the Hare Do, to the new section of hair (as one).
Important:
Don't Let Go!
Hold these two sections of hair with the left hand, as the right fingers comb the hair smooth and finish holding the hair with the right hand.
Part Second Section
At the left side, the left fingers part a small section of hair (stopping) beside the Hare Do.
Important:
Add the left ponytail, lying on top of the Hare Do, to the new section of hair (as one).
Don't Let Go!
The hands finger comb each of the two sections of hair smooth and finish holding them in each hand.
Cross Hair
Cross the right section of hair underneath the left section on top of the Hare Do.
Don't Let Go!
Pull the crossed hair tight to the head and hold the hair with the left forefingers and thumb.
Cross Hare Do Strand
Grasp the right Hare Do strand and cross it over the left section of hair placing it in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Don't Let Go!
After you cross, the right fingers and thumb grasp the left section of hair and Hare Do strand (as one) holding them tight against the head .
Amazing!
You can (Let Go) with your left hand!
Cross Hare Do Strand
Grasp the left Hare Do strand and cross it over the top of the right section of hair and right Hare Do strand.
Place the left strand in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Don't Let Go!
Both hands together pull the hair sections down, as the Hare Do is pinch toward the head tightening the braid .
Tips:
Pull on the ponytail under the braid if there is a small bubble on the top of the head.
Let Go!
Release the two sections of hair laying them on top of the Hare Do.

Split Remaing Hair
Under the Hare Do, split the remaining hair in two equal sections and hold in both hands.
Don't Let Go!
The hands finger comb each of the two sections of hair smooth and finish holding them in each hand.
Add the Ponytails
Add the ponytails, lying on top of the Hare Do, to each new section of hair.
Don't Let Go!
The hands finger comb each of the two sections of hair smooth and finish holding them in each hand.
Cross the Hair
Cross the right section of hair underneath the left section on top of the Hare Do.
Don't Let Go!
Pull the crossed hair tight to the nape of the neck and hold the hair with the left forefingers and thumb.
Cross the Strand
Grasp the right Hare Do strand and cross it over the left section of hair placing it in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Don't Let Go!
After you cross, the right fingers and thumb grasp the left section of hair and Hare Do strand (as one) holding them tight against the neck.
Amazing!
You can (Let Go) with your left hand!
Cross the Strand
Grasp the left Hare Do strand and cross it over the top of the right section of hair and right Hare Do strand.
Place the left strand in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Don't Let Go!
Both hands together pull the hair sections down, as the Hare Do is pinch toward the head tightening the braid.
Optional:
(Let Go) of the braided hair if you want!
Finger Comb Hair
Don't Let Go!
The hands finger comb each of the two sections of hair smooth and finish holding them in place.
Cross the Hair
Cross the right section of hair underneath the left section on top of the Hare Do.
Don't Let Go!
Pull the crossed hair tight on top of the Hare Do and hold the hair with the left forefingers and thumb.
Cross the Strand
Grasp the right Hare Do strand and cross it over the left section hair placing it in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Don't Let Go!
After you cross, the right fingers and thumb grasp the left section of hair and Hare Do strand (as one) holding them tight.
Amazing!
You can (Let Go) with your left hand!

Grasp the left Hare Do strand and cross it over the top of the right section of hair and right Hare Do strand.
Place the left strand in the middle of the two sections of hair.

Cross the Hair
Cross the right section of hair underneath the left section on top of the Hare Do.
Don't Let Go!
Pull the crossed hair tight on top of the Hare Do and hold the hair with the left forefingers and thumb.
Cross the Strand
Grasp the right Hare Do strand and cross it over the left section hair placing it in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Important:
After you cross, the right fingers and thumb grasp the left section of hair and Hare Do strand (as one) holding them tight Don't Let Go!.
Amazing!
You can (Let Go) with your left hand!
Cross the Strand
Grasp the left Hare Do strand and cross it over the top of the right section of hair and right Hare Do strand.
Place the left strand in the middle of the two sections of hair.
Don't Let Go!
Both hands together pull the hair sections down, as the Hare Do is pinch toward the head tightening the braid.
Twist the Secure
One hand holds the braid steady as the other hand twist the rosettes two times at the end of braided hair.
Optional:
A rubber band or scrunchie can be used for additional support, but is not recommended.
Reposition the Hare Do
Both hands pull and stretch the Hare Do's top and bottom in opposite directions to straighten the French Braid.
Tips:
Braid the remaining hair (ponytail) left hanging in three strands, if desired.
Hair spray works great for a final touch.
